Edward Eladio Manibusan is a Northern Marianan politician serving as the Attorney General of the Northern Mariana Islands since January 12, 2015 and previously from July 1, 1989 to January 8, 1990. He is the first elected attorney general; previous AGs were appointed by the governor. Manibusan was elected in 2014, defeating attorney Michael Evangelista by about a two to one margin. He was reelected in 2018, without opposition. Before he was elected Attorney General, Manibusan was the head of the
