. At the National Census of 2006, its population (as a part of Khorramabad District) was 1,494 in 475 households. There were 2,789 inhabitants in 1,027 households at the following census of 2011. At the most recent census of 2016, the population of the rural district was 2,326 in 883 households. The largest of its 45 villages was Barseh, with 454 people. In 2019, Baladeh-ye Sharqi Rural District was established in Khorramabad District. Do Hezar and Seh Hezar Rural Districts were separated from the district to form the new Kuhestan District, in which Miyandaman Rural District was also established.
