History

It originated from a private school established in 1909 by German and Swiss families. The classes were initially held at Puerto La Cruz, and moved to the annex of the garden of Jakob Ahlers, the German consul, in 1919. The primary school annex opened in the garden of the Groth family in 1924. Another location opened in the German Club on calle Consolación. In 1927 the Groth and German club locations consolidated. The classes moved to Numancia, 33 in 1928. The German school association opened on 12 November 1932.Geschichte der Schule
