Their name, "Della Mae" comes from the song, "Big Spike Hammer." Della Mae was formed by Kimber Ludiker, Amanda Kowalski, Grace Van’t Hof, and Avril Smith, and released their first EP, "Della Mae: Acoustic EP" in 2010.
