Early life

Durepos was born on July 14, 1968, in

, New Brunswick. He attended and graduated from the New Brunswick Community College in 1984 with a degree in Steel Fabrication. After suffering from a spinal cord injury due to a motorcycle crash in 1988, he lost the use of his legs.
