History


1994-1999: Q106

The station began operations on August 1, 1994, as Q106, carrying a Top 40 format with the slogan ''The Next Big Thing''. This is the second FM station of the network after its flagship station in Iloilo, Q89 that was established in November 1993. The station initially transmitted on 25 kilowatts, covering the Metro Cebu areas and portions of the Central Visayas region. In January 1995, it changed its slogan to ''The Station Who Cares''.


1999-present: Home Radio

In 1999, the station was rebranded as Home Radio Q106 and switched to an
easy listening Easy listening (including mood music) is a popular music genre and radio format that was most popular during the 1950s to 1970s. It is related to middle-of-the-road (MOR) music and encompasses instrumental recordings of standards, hit songs, n ...
format. However, the Q106 brand was dropped the following year, when Home Radio was later expanded by its provincial stations. Aside from its usual programming on Weekdays, it aired a variety hits programming every Sundays. Its notable program was ''The Weekend Easy 10'', wherein listeners can vote in for their favorite songs. In 2007, Home Radio Cebu carried a new slogan "Today's Hit Music" and switched back to an

format, making it Home Radio's only station to do so. On March 17, 2014, Home Radio Cebu, along with the other provincial stations, reformatted into a mass based format, carrying the slogan "Natural!" as a new format. On Easter Sunday 2015, the station switched back once again to CHR format with an emphasis on OPM, simply known as CHR Local. By the end of 2015, Home Radio adopted the slogan "The Music of Now" and the catchphrase "The Home of the Millennials" and at the same time, it shifted to a full-fledged CHR station. In July 2017, Home Radio (now read as one-o-six-seven) flipped back to its original

format and carried-over the slogan "It Feels Good to be Home". In 2018, Home Radio's provincial stations started simulcasting DWIZ 882's program '' Karambola'', thus allowing the station to include news and commentaries to the station's format. In 2021, the simulcast expanded to include the entire morning block of DWIZ. On December 16 of the same year, Home Radio went off the air after its building and transmitter tower were destroyed by Typhoon "Odette" (Rai). After almost 4 months of silence, Home Radio resumed operations as test broadcast on April 22, 2022, this time with a newly installed 10,000-watt transmitter on new location in RPN Compound in
