''Cryptocarya macdonaldii'' grows in rainforest at altitudes between sea level and between
Proserpine and
Eungella and from
Miriam Vale to south of
Brisbane in Central Queensland.
Conservation status
This ''Cryptocarya'' is listed as of "least concern" under the Queensland Government ''
Nature Conservation Act 1992''.
