Clare senior team.
Honan joined the team during the
1974 championship and became a regular player until his retirement at the end of the
1984 championship. During that time he won back-to-back
National Hurling League winners' medals and an
All-Star award. His son,

Darach Honan (born 21 March 1990 in Clonlara, County Clare, Ireland) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his local club Clonlara and was a member of the Clare senior inter-county team from 2010 until 2017.
