Powers and abilities

Chemo has very limited intelligence coupled with immense strength and durability. It can alter its mass, replicate an individual's powers, and project hazardous corrosives on top of being highly radioactive. Chemo is capable of reforming itself after getting blown up. On one occasion, Chemo was briefly augmented when it absorbed fragments of Superman's DNA after he fell into a vat containing the currently dormant chemicals that comprised it, thus giving itself access to his strength level.''Action Comics'' Vol 1 #590 (July 1987)
