The following census in 2011 counted 948 people in 214 households, by which time the district had been separated from the county and become a part of the newly established Zaboli County (renamed Mehrestan County). The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 1,320 people in 311 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district. After the census, the rural district was separated from the Central District in the establishment of Birk District, which was divided into two rural districts.
