Pteridophyte Phylogeny Group classification of 2016 (PPG I) but not by other sources, which sink it into a broadly defined ''
Trichomanes''.

Biography
Presl lived his entire life in Prague, and was a professor of botany at the University of Prague (1833–52). in 1843.
