Jones opted to be let out of her contract in December 2010 to focus on other projects. She returned in a non-contract capacity in October 2011. Having appeared last in early 2012, Jones returned to tape a four-episode appearance in May 2013. The actress noted that she "didn't want to go back for a wedding of funeral" because "this is too cool a character to come back and just sit in the background. That's not fun."
