Bunji Sakita was born in Japan in 1930 in the

Sakita was an exceptional mentor with an intense working relationship with many of his students whom he treated as his equals. Death

He died on August 31, 2002 in Japan after a year-long battle with cancer. He is survived by his children Mariko Sakita, Mark Mozeson and Taro Sakita, and his grandchildren Evan, Sarah, and Kayla Mozeson.
