History

Broker’s Gin was created by brothers Martin and Andy Dawson in the late 1990s. Gin is the only spirit that historically has been produced in England, if the whisky production industries in Liverpool, London and Bristol from the 1800s are discounted. The popularity of the Scotch industry rendered most distillation practices in England inert. The last whisky distillery in England, Lea Valley Distillery, closed in 1903, almost a century before another opened. . For that reason, in 1998, they chose a theme for the brand that would be recognised for its Englishness – a gentleman wearing a
