Name

Brady Lake gets its name from Captain
Samuel Brady Captain Samuel Brady (1756–1795) was an Irish American Revolutionary War officer, frontier scout, notorious Indian fighter, and the subject of many legends, in the history of western Pennsylvania and northeastern Ohio. He is best known for repo ...
who hid in the lake in 1780 while fleeing a band of local American Indians. Initially, the lake was referred to as "Brady's Lake" before eventually being shortened to the modern Brady Lake.

Brady Lake was used during the operation of the
