In March 2018, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts announced a six-year marketing deal with Hubway to re-brand the bicycle sharing system and relaunch under the name of "Blue Bikes". Along with the change in name, the bike sharing system will expand with more bikes and branded stations.
