History

In 1930, Ingwald Nielsen gave funds for the construction of a chapel at Blomvåg in exchange for the municipality providing the land, road, and foundation wall. The deal was agreed to and a permit issued on 5 December 1930. The chapel was designed by Carl Berner. The foundation stone was laid on 29 April 1931 and the work was completed in just over six months during 1931. Unfortunately, Nielsen died in June 1931, so he never got to see the finished chapel. The chapel was built with a
