Geography

Bioggio has an area, , of . Of this area, or 20.7% is used for agricultural purposes, while or 12.4% is forested. Of the agricultural land, 13.1% is used for growing crops, while 2.2% is used for orchards or vine crops and 5.4% is used for alpine pastures. All the water in the municipality is flowing water.
