Reception

In a review of the album from 1970, ''Billboard'' Magazine says the "instrumentals are tight and gutsy, and the message is strictly positive with the sway of soul." Other reviews were less complimentary.The Rolling stone album guide: completely new reviews Anthony DeCurtis, James Henke, Holly George-Warren - 1992 p588 "RHINOCEROS ☆ Rhinoceros (Elektra, 1968) ☆ Satin Chicken (Elektra, 1969) ☆ Better Times Are Coming (Elektra, 1970) Lumbering and graceless, this seven-piece band, it seems, wasn't being ironic when it named itself."
