. In his term in the House Bartlett voted just once. After missing the subsequent 134 votes he resigned on April 26, 2023 claiming ill health. However, the US Office of Special Council claimed that he resigned due to the office's Hatch Act enforcement efforts. His resignation required a special election to fill the seat. This race was won by Democrat Hal Rafter.
