After playing five games for the "Cumbrians" in his one-month loan, he returned to Leeds United. On 16 April, manager Neil Warnock agreed to terminate Parker's contract by mutual consent after seven years at the club. Despite being released Parker continued to train with Leeds in order to keep fit whilst he searched for a new club. Parker signed with
