The Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center traces its origins to the Pakistan Industrial Technical Centre which was established through the merger of IRDC & PIPS in 1962. After the
Independence of Bangladesh it was changed to Bangladesh Industrial Technical Assistance Center.
