History
The foundation of the bank dates back to 10 March 1889, the date on which the Banca Popolare Cooperativa di Ragusa was born (later incorporated into the institution in question, founded in 1902).

In 2019 the shareholders of the bank had a disagreement with the managers of the bank. The dispute was settled by the intervention of the
