Balș () is a town in Olt County, Oltenia, Romania. The town administers three villages: Corbeni, Româna, and Teiș.

The town is situated on the Wallachian Plain and lies on the banks of the river

The Olteț is a right tributary of the river Olt in Romania. It discharges into the Olt in Fălcoiu. Its total length is , and its drainage basin area is .Dolj County, west of the county seat, Slatina.
