Aubert Lemeland (19 December 1932 – 15 November 2010) was a French composer.


Life

Born in La Haye-du-Puits, after his studies in piano and cello classes in
Cherbourg Cherbourg (; , , ), nrf, Chèrbourg, ) is a former commune and subprefecture located at the northern end of the Cotentin peninsula in the northwestern French department of Manche. It was merged into the commune of Cherbourg-Octeville on 28 Feb ...
, then in Paris - where he moved in 1948 - and interrupted by a long illness, Lemeland produced his first works in the mid-1960s. Lemeland died in ParisAubert Lemeland
Obituary in '' Le Monde'' at the age of 77. He is buried at Père Lachaise Cemetery (22nd division).
