Career

Singh practiced law in the

as a solicitor, for 20 years, from 1980 until 2000. He also ran several businesses in the United Kingdom, including a Nissan car dealership, and two property and investment companies. In 2008, the Uganda Judicial Services Commission recommended him to the president of Uganda for nomination as a Justice of the High Court of Uganda. He was nominated and duly approved by the Ugandan Parliament. He was sworn in on 2 May 2008. After 6 years of service, Justice Choudry retired on 11 August 2011 and returned to he United Kingdom to join his family.
