Early life and education

She was born and raised in Kent, England, United Kingdom, the daughter of finance director Clive Thompson. She is a graduate of film from the Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design. In 2014, Anna moved to California with her husband Tim Arrowsmith. After teaching at the Department of Feminist Studies at UCSB on the subject of Gender Studies for two years, she turned her interests to the wine industry opening a wine bar in Solvang, California calle

where she sells the wine her husband and her make under their own wine label as well as International wines of note.
