In July 2013 he joined EBRD as Vice President, Policy. Then he became Chief Financial Officer in 2014. From November 2016 to May 2019 Simor was the EBRD´s Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.

He is divorced and has three children from his marriage - one daughter, Diána and two sons, Máté and Dániel.
