Description
A medium to large sized tree that can grow up to 45 m high and reach a diameter of up to 120 cm.
The trunk is straight while bark is thick, rough and scaly and yellowish brown in color while the slash is pale to orange brown in color; stems are densely covered in woolly hairs.
Leaves are
bipinnately compound and alternate, 4 - 6 pairs of pairs of pinnae and each pinnae having up to 6 - 13 pairs of leaflets.
Leaflets, opposite, up to 2.5 cm long and 1 cm wide, they are narrowly oblong in shape, base is truncate while apex is rounded to obtuse.
