Chiles competed with
DJ Uiagalelei and
Ben Gulbranson for the starting job his first year at Oregon State in 2023. Uiagalelei won the competition with Chiles appearing in games as a backup. He entered the transfer portal on December 4, 2023.
Michigan State
On December 14, 2023, Chiles announced that he would be transferring to
Michigan State.
