The track "Channa Mereya", "Bulleya" and the title track were the first ones to get approved by 2015. The track "Cutiepie" was recorded later. In an interview early September 2016, Pritam announced the soundtrack album release by end of September 2016, with seven tracks. The standalone numbers were mentioned as a mixed bag of intense, romantic songs and fun songs.
