Betis

On 15 January 2023, Abner joined La Liga club Real Betis having agreed a contract until 2029. The transfer fee paid to Athletico Paranaense was reported as under €10 million. He joined as a replacement for Álex Moreno.


Olympique Lyonnais

On 5 July 2024 his purchase by the french club Olympique Lyonnais was made official with whom he signed a five-year contract, the fee is reported to be around 8 million euros. Betis have a 20% sell-on percentage included in the deal.
