With the help from Nizam Khan he got a Nepalese passport named as Abdul Rehman. In February 2015 he went to Saudi Arabia to meet Bhatkal. There he worked in a disguise of a salesman.

Statement by family

On 17 September 2008, his family held a press-conference in Mumbai. His mother Zubeda Qureshi claimed that she had not seen her son in seven years and did not think he was involved. She said if he was guilty, he should be hanged. The family lawyer Mubin Solkar however stated that the family does not wish to defend him and will cooperate with the administration.


Arrest

In January 2018, Delhi police arrested Qureshi after a gun battle.
