by which time the rural district had been separated from the county in the establishment of Rigan County.
The latest census in 2016 showed a population of 5,125 people in 1,546 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.
In 2019, the villages of Abbasabad-e Sardar and
Rahmatabad were elevated to the status of cities.
