. The tournament was scheduled to be played in Kuwait from 16 to 27 February 2022. On 5 July 2021, the AFC announced that the tournament would be held between 27 September and 8 October 2022.

However, on 5 July 2021, the AFC announced that it would be held from 1 to 15 April 2022.
