In May 2018, the club announced the appointment of Nicolas Ruszkowski as its new chief operating officer. Ruszkowski has a background in public relations. Ruszkowski will be in charge of business operations and will not have a role in hockey operations. Trinity was developing a site adjacent to the LeBreton Flats site and the Senators felt this was inappropriate competition.
