The government was initially funded through a series of three temporary
continuing resolutions. Final funding for the government was enacted as several appropriations bills enacted between August 2 and December 30, 2005.
As of 2018, this is the last fiscal year to be funded without the use of an
omnibus spending bill or full-year continuing resolution.
