ʻElisiva Fusipala Vahaʻi
Princess 'Elisiva Fusipala Tauki'onetuku Tuku'aho Vaha'i of Tonga (12 June 1949 – 2 October 2014), normally referred to as Princess Fusipala or even just Fusipala, was a daughter of Fatafehi Tuʻipelehake. Fusipala was one of the Tuʻi Pelehake's six children, four of whom were girls. On the occasion of her marriage to Hahano-ki-Malaʻe Kula-ʻa Sione Ngu Namoa, Lord Vahaʻi, Hahano-ki-Mala'e Kula-'a Sione Ngu Namoa, Lord Vaha'i (1936–2005), the Vahaʻi of Foʻui, a member of the Tongan nobility, John H. Groberg, then the mission president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) in Tonga, gave Fusipala and Hahano a copy of the Standard Works of the LDS Church as a wedding present. Hahano-ki-Malaʻe Kula-ʻa Sione Ngu Namoa, Lord Vahaʻi
Hahano-ki-Malaʻe Kula-'a Sione Ngū Namoa (1 May 1936 – 22 May 2005), who became Lord Vahaʻi on the death of his father in 1985, was a member of the legislative assembly (MLA) of Tonga for the nobles, and the husband of Princess 'Elisiva Fusipala Vaha'i who was the granddaughter of Queen Salote Tupou III. The title Lord Vahaʻi implies being the estate holder of the village of Foʻui in Hihifo District. Hahano's father was Vilisoni Fahitaha Namoawhile his mother was Vika Mafileʻo. His father became Lord Vaha'i on the death of his grandfather, and his mother was styled Vika Mafile'o Namoa Vaha'i from that point on. Up until the death of his own father he was referred to generally as Hahano. A branch president is a leader of a "branch" congregation of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church). The calling of branch president is very similar to the calling of bishop, except that instead of presiding over a ward, the branch president presides over a branch. The branch president is directly responsible for the operation of his branch and the well-being of its patrons. The branch president usually has two counselors to assist him in his duties. These three men comprise the ''branch presidency''. Like almost all callings in the LDS Church, the branch president is not paid for his work in the church. A branch president must hold the priesthood and at a minimum must hold the office of priest. George Tupou II
George Tupou II ( to, Siaosi Tupou II; 18 June 1874 – 5 April 1918) was the King of Tonga from 18 February 1893 until his death. He was officially crowned at Nukuʻalofa, on 17 March 1893. He was also the 20th Tuʻi Kanokupolu. Life Siaosi (George) Tupou II was related to his predecessor and founder of the united Tongan Kingdom, King George Tupou I, Tāufaʻāhau Tupou I on both sides of his family. His father was Prince Tuʻi Pelehake Fatafehi Toutaitokotaha, who was also Prime Minister of Tonga in 1905. Fatahefi's mother Sālote Pilolevu was a daughter of Tāufaʻāhau Tupou I. Sālote Tupou III
Sālote Tupou III (born Sālote Mafile‘o Pilolevu; 13 March 1900 – 16 December 1965) was Queen of Tonga from 1918 to her death in 1965. She reigned for nearly 48 years, longer than any other Tongan monarch. She was well known for her height, standing 6 ft 3 in (1.91 metres) tall in her prime. Early life Sālote (Charlotte) was born on 13 March 1900 in Tonga as the eldest daughter and heir of King George Tupou II of Tonga and his first wife, Queen Lavinia Veiongo. She was baptized and named after her great-grandmother Sālote Mafile‘o Pilolevu (daughter of George Tupou I).
