Žumberak is a village and a municipality in Croatia in the Zagreb County. According to the 2011 Croatian census, 2011 census, there are 883 inhabitants, 98% of which are Croats. Žumberak municipality covers an area of . The municipal centre is located in the village of Kostanjevac. Municipalities in Croatia ( hr, općina; plural: ''općine'') are the second-lowest administrative unit of government in the country, and along with cities and towns (''grad'', plural: ''gradovi'') they form the second level of administrative subdisivion, after counties. Plavci (Žumberak)
The Rangers or Plavci is a Czech pop folk and country music band formed in 1964 by Milan Dufek and Antonín Hájek. Its classic ensemble consisted of Milan Dufek (1944–2005; tenor), Antonín Hájek (1944–1989; baritone), Miroslav Řihošek, Jan Vančura (countertenor), Jiří Veisser, and Radek Tomášek. The band sold over one million records. Biography The Rangers quickly became famous for the singing qualities of its members, from the bass of Jiří Veisser to the countertenor of Jan Vančura. The musical repertoire of the Rangers at that time consisted of Anglo-American traditionals, folk pop and country music with Czech lyrics. Between 1966–1969 Jarka Hadrabová sang in the band and they won the first two ''Porta''s (1967 and 1968) in the category ''Country & Western''. Kupčina Žumberačka
Kupčina () is a river in central Croatia, a left tributary of Kupa. It is long and its basin covers an area of . Kupčina rises in the mountainous areas of Žumberak in the village of Cernik near Sošice, and flows towards the southeast near the eponymous village of Kupčina Žumberačka. It turns slightly to the south, passes near Krašić Krašić is a village and municipality in central Croatia, located near Jastrebarsko and Ozalj, south of Žumberak and north of Kupa, about 50 km southwest of Zagreb. Krašić comprises an area of about 3.63 km2. In the 2011 census, the ..., and turns back southeast past another eponymous village of Gornja Kupčina, before it enters a wide lowland area near Draganić.
