Željko Pahek
Željko Pahek (born 1954 in Županja, then in Yugoslavia, now in Croatia) is an internationally published comic-book and graphic novel creator, scriptwriter, painter, illustrator and caricaturist. Since 1980s he is known for black humored comic series, as well as cover illustrations for masterpieces of science fiction and fantasy literature. He lives in Belgrade, Serbia. Biography Pahek lives in Belgrade since 1978. He is one of the key founders of Beogradski krug 2, an important Yugoslav artistic group, together with Bojan M. Đukić (main founder), Vladimir Vesović, Zdravko Zupan, Askanio Popović, R. M. Guera, Dragan Savić, Dušan Reljić, Dragan Bosnić and others. Županja
Županja (, hu, Zsupanya, german: Schaupanie) is a town in eastern Slavonia, Croatia, located 254 km east of Zagreb. It is administratively part of the Vukovar-Syrmia County. It is inhabited by 12,090 people (2011). Županja lies on the Sava river opposite Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is the site of a border-crossing bridge with the town of Orašje in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The A3 highway Zagreb-Slavonski Brod-Belgrade passes north of it, and the city is also reachable by a local railroad from Vinkovci as well as the state road D55. Tim Powers
Timothy Thomas Powers (born February 29, 1952) is an American science fiction and fantasy fiction, fantasy author. Powers has won the World Fantasy Award twice for his critically acclaimed novels ''Last Call (novel), Last Call'' and ''Declare''. Zoran Stefanović
Zoran Stefanović (, sr-cyr, Зоран Стефановић, born 21 November 1969 in Loznica) is a Serbian author, publisher and cultural activist, best known as the founder of several cultural networks, including Project Rastko. His works were published and produced in Europe and US. He made his debut in theater and film in 1987 and he graduated in dramaturgy and screenwriting in 1994 at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts ( University of Arts in Belgrade). He lives in Belgrade. Živojin "Žika" Tamburić (Serbian Cyrillic: Живојин Тамбурић; born 1957 in Kruševac, Yugoslavia) is a Serbian comics critic, historian, editor and publisher, most notable for his work on first critical comics lexicon in Eastern Europe, '' The Comics We Loved, Selection of 20th Century Comics and Creators from the Region of Former Yugoslavia'' (2011). Slobodan Ivkov
Slobodan ( sr-Cyrl, Слободан) is a Serbo-Croatian masculine given name which means "free" (''sloboda'' / meaning "freedom, liberty") used among other South Slavs as well. It was coined by Serbian liberal politician Vladimir Jovanović who, inspired by John Stuart Mill's essay '' On Liberty'' baptised his son as Slobodan in 1869 and his daughter Pravda (Justice) in 1871. It became popular in both Kingdom of Yugoslavia (1918–1945) and the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (1945–1991) among various ethnic groups within Yugoslavia and therefore today there are also Slobodans among Croats, Slovenes and other Yugoslav peoples. He is most famous for his post-apocalyptic comic ''Jeremiah'' which was made into a television series. Paul Gravett is a London-based journalist, curator, writer, and broadcaster who has worked in comics publishing since 1981.
