ŽAK Subotica
ŽAK Subotica (Serbian Cyrillic: ЖAK Cубoтицa) was a football club based in Subotica, Kingdom of Yugoslavia. The club was formed in 1921 and the name comes from the initials of ''Železničarski atletski klub'' derived from the fact that the club was backed by the Yugoslav Railways company. It played in the 1935–36 Yugoslav Football Championship where it was eliminated in the round of sixteen by Slavija Osijek. Afterwards, it played in the 1940–41 Serbian League where it finished 5th out of 10. With the start of the Second World War and the Axis invasion of Yugoslavia, the city came under Hungarian occupation and the club competed in the Hungarian Second League under its Hungarian translated name, Szabadkai Vasutas AC. Serbian Cyrillic Alphabet
The Serbian Cyrillic alphabet ( sr, / , ) is a variation of the Cyrillic script used to write the Serbian language, updated in 1818 by Serbian linguist Vuk Karadžić. It is one of the two alphabets used to write standard modern Serbian, the other being Gaj's Latin alphabet. Karadžić based his alphabet on the previous Slavonic-Serbian script, following the principle of "write as you speak and read as it is written", removing obsolete letters and letters representing iotified vowels, introducing from the Latin alphabet instead, and adding several consonant letters for sounds specific to Serbian phonology. During the same period, linguists led by Ljudevit Gaj adapted the Latin alphabet, in use in western South Slavic areas, using the same principles. Fudbalski klub Spartak Ždrepčeva Krv () is a professional football club from Subotica, Serbia, that plays in the Serbian SuperLiga. The club was founded in 1945 and was named after Jovan Mikić Spartak, the leader of the Partisans in Subotica, who was a national hero and was killed in 1944. After the end of the 2007–08 Serbian League Vojvodina, the club merged with '' Zlatibor Voda'' which won promotion to the Serbian First League thus gaining the name Spartak Zlatibor Voda. Mihalj Kečkeš (; 24 September 1913 – 31 December 1985) was a Yugoslav footballer. Born in Subotica in 1913, then still within Austro-Hungary, he was a midfielder and he begin his career playing in FK Bačka 1901. He also played with the other two pre-World War II Yugoslav First League clubs from Subotica, SAND and ŽAK before signing with Jedinstvo Belgrade. Miloš Beleslin (; 8 September 1901 – 7 March 1984) was a Yugoslavian footballer. Club career Born in Sereg, Kingdom of Hungary, Austro-Hungarian Empire, he started playing in Szeged in Szegedi AK. His played his first official match on May 5, 1917. In 1919 his parents moved to the city of Novi Sad in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes and he joined NAK Novi Sad. Jovan Beleslin (Serbian Cyrillic: Јован Белеслин; born 1 October 1919) is a Serbian former football player. He was born in Hungary. A strong full-back with excellent header, he started playing with ŽAK Subotica when he got registered for the senior team in May 1937. His best years were spent while playing for BSK Belgrade between 1938 and 1945.
