Halit Refiğ
Halit Refiğ (5 March 1934 – 11 October 2009) was a Turkish film director, film producer, screenwriter and writer. He made around sixty films, including feature films, documentaries and TV serials. He is considered to be the pioneer of the National Cinema movement and the initiator of the production of TV serials in Turkey. Biography Halit Refiğ graduated from Şişli Terakki High School in 1951 and studied engineering at Robert College in Istanbul. Refiğ directed his first films in 8mm while he served as a military reserve officer in Korea, Japan and Ceylon. He wrote articles on cinema at newspapers in 1956 and published the ''Sinema Dergisi'' magazine together with Nijat Özön. He began his career as Atıf Yılmaz's assistant in 1957 together with Yılmaz Güney. He worked as scriptwriter for Atıf Yılmaz and Memduh Ün. Göksel Arsoy
Göksel Arsoy (born 15 March 1936) is a Turkish actor, singer and sportsmen. Biography When Arsoy was studying at Istanbul University's Economics faculty. He is nephew of musician, Yesari Asım Ersoy. He started working at the nearby Yeşilköy Airport. In 1958, he made his film debut in ''Kara Günlerim'' directed by Sırrı Gültekin and went on to appear in films such as ''Kelepçe'' and ''Samanyolu''. In many of these, he starred opposite actress Belgin Doruk. He played as actor and producer in cult film "" about the airforce. He was labelled the "Golden Child" ("Altın Çocuk") of Turkish cinema by the media. Through the years, he maintained a close friendship with Ayhan Işık, his main acting rival at the time. Leylâ Sayar (December 27, 1939 – July 22, 2016) was a Turkish actress, author, ballerina, beauty queen, and singer of Circassian and Macedonian Turkish descent. Sayar was considered to be one of the most beautiful women of the Cinema of Turkey. Early life and career Sayar was born in 1939 to Circassian mother and Macedonian Turkish father from İstanbul. Before pursuing an acting career, she attended the American Academy for Girls. In 1957, she was crowned ''Miss Cinema Star''.
