İshak Sağlam
İshak Sağlam (b. 1966; Kozluk) is a Kurdish politician and lawyer in Turkey who led the Kurdish Islamist Free Cause Party from October 2018 to June 2021. He subsequently became deputy chairman and head of human rights and legal affairs of the party. Biography Born in 1966 in the town of Kozluk in Batman Province, Sağlam graduated from Dicle University in 1992 and subsequently as a lawyer. In the 2000s, he worked as a defender for members of the Movement of the Oppressed, but was also sentenced to 6 years prison for being a member of the organization. In October 2018, he was elected leader of the Free Cause Party at the third convention of the party, winning 777 votes out of 1,165. Free Cause Party
The Free Cause Party ( Turkish: ''Hür Dava Partisi'', abbreviated as HÜDA PAR, ) is Sunni Kurdish Islamist political party in Turkey. Origin Following the decision to end armed struggle in 2002, activists of the Hizbullah's Menzil group founded an association called "Solidarity with the Oppressed" ( tr, Mustazaflar ile Dayanışma Derneği or short Mustazaf Der) in 2003. It also became known as the Movement of the Oppressed ( Turkish: ''Mustazaflar Hareketi''). On 18 April 2010 Mustazaf Der organized a mass meeting in Diyarbakır to celebrate the anniversary of the Islamic prophet Muhammad’s birthday (known as Mawlid). Masoud Barzani
Masoud Barzani ( ku, ,مهسعوود بارزانی, translit=Mesûd Barzanî}; born 16 August 1946) is a Kurdish politician who has been leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) since 1979, and was President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq from 2005 to 2017. The Kurdistan Democratic Party ( ku, Partiya Demokrat a Kurdistanê; پارتی دیموکراتی کوردستان), usually abbreviated as KDP or PDK, is the largest party in Iraqi Kurdistan and the senior partner in the Kurdistan Regional Government. It was founded in 1946 in Mahabad in Iranian Kurdistan. Batman Province
Batman Province ( tr, , ku, Parêzgeha Êlihê) is a province in the Southeast Anatolia Region of Turkey. Mehmet Yavuz (b. 1973; Kâhta, d. 9 August 2019), was a Kurdish politician and teacher in Turkey who led the Kurdish Islamist Free Cause Party from May 2018 until 7 October 2018. Biography Born in 1973 in the town of Kâhta in Adıyaman Province, he graduated high school in the town before moving to Konya to study at the Selcuk University Faculty of Education. He subsequently worked as a teacher. In the 2000s, he was imprisoned for two years and later worked as a teacher in Şanlıurfa.
