České Budějovice Half Marathon
The České Budějovice Half Marathon is an annual half marathon race which takes place in early June in České Budějovice, Czech Republic. Known as the Mattoni České Budějovice Half Marathon, it is a part of RunCzech running circuit. The course winds through České Budějovice city centre and along the Vltava river. The inaugural edition of the event was held in 2012. In 2013, almost 2 000 runners participated in the race. České Budějovice (; german: Budweis ) is a city in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 93,000 inhabitants. It is located in the valley of the Vltava River, at its confluence with the Malše. Justus (died on 10 November between 627 and 631) was the fourth Archbishop of Canterbury. He was sent from Italy to England by Pope Gregory the Great, on a mission to Christianize the Anglo-Saxons from their native paganism, probably arriving with the second group of missionaries despatched in 601. Justus became the first Bishop of Rochester in 604, and attended a church council in Paris in 614. Rose Chelimo (born 12 July 1989) is a Kenyan-born Bahraini long-distance runner who competes in road running events up to the marathon distance. She is the 2017 IAAF world champion.
