Čemerno
Čemerno (Serbian Cyrillic: Чемерно) is a mountain in western Serbia, near the town of Ivanjica. Its highest peak ''Smrdljuč'' has an elevation of above sea level. Geography From the south, mountain plato Čemerno is limited by the valley of the river Studenica, and from the north by the valleys of rivers Dubočica and Borošnica. Mountain plato extends in the northwest-southeast direction for some 12 kilometers and in it far southeast end it turns southwards. Mountain slopes are carved by tributaries of the rivers Ibar and Studenica. The mountain highest peak is ''Smrdljuč'' (1579 m), other peaks are: ''Goleš'' (1348 m), ''Gvozdac'' (1456 m), ''Rudo brdo'' (1454 m), ''Gusarica'' (1535 m), ''Tičije brdo'' (1430 m). Studenica (river)
The Studenica ( sr, Студеница, ) is a river in southwestern Serbia, a 60 km-long left tributary to the Ibar river. Origin The Studenica originates from the central section of the northern slopes of the Golija mountain, as the ''Crna reka'' (Black river), at an altitude of 1,615 m. The river flows northward, parallel to the flow of the ''Brusnička reka'', next to the villages of Crna Reka, Koritnik, Ratari and Pločnik. Between the villages of Devič and Čečina, the Crna Reka and Brusnička reka meet and continue to the north under the name of Studenica. Valley The Studenica carved a long and deep gorge-like valley, characterized by the arc-shaped stretching in the west–east direction, between the Radočelo (on the south) and Čemerno (on the north) mountains. Ibar River
The Ibar ( sr-cyrl, Ибар, ), also known as the Ibër and Ibri ( sq, Ibër, Ibri), is a river that flows through eastern Montenegro, northern Kosovo and central Serbia, with a total length of . The river begins in the Hajla mountain, in Rožaje, eastern Montenegro, and passes through southwestern Serbia and northern Kosovo, where it leads back into Serbia to flow into the West Morava river near Kraljevo, central Serbia. It belongs to the Black Sea drainage basin. Its own drainage area is , with an average discharge of 60 m³/s at the mouth. It is not navigable. The Dinaric Alps (), also Dinarides, are a mountain range in Southern and Southcentral Europe, separating the continental Balkan Peninsula from the Adriatic Sea. Maglič
Maglič ( sr-Cyrl, Маглич, ) is a 13th-century castle about south of Kraljevo, Serbia. The castle is located atop a hill around which the Ibar river makes a curve, about above the river. The fortress protected the only road that connected the Great Morava Valley and Kosovo polje. Its name means 'the foggy one' . Maglič was included on the list of Cultural Monuments of Exceptional Importance in 1979. History Maglič was built in the first half of 13th century, by either Stefan the First-Crowned, or his son Uroš I. It was built to safeguard two important monasteries, Sopoćani and Studenica, as well as prevent any future Mongolian raid deeper into the Serbian lands.
