Antonio Eceiza (14 September 1935 – 15 November 2011) was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. He directed eleven films between 1960 and 1995. He is notable for promoting the growth of Basque cinema. His 1977 film ''Mina, Wind of Freedom'' was entered into the 10th Moscow International Film Festival. ElÃas Querejeta
ElÃas Querejeta Gárate (27 October 1934 – 9 June 2013), also known as ElÃas Querejeta () and known in the Spanish film industry as "The Producer", was a Spanish screenwriter and film producer. He is the father of Gracia Querejeta. Biography Querejeta was born in Hernani, Spain, and played soccer for Real Sociedad. By the age of 18 he was making his debut in the Spanish first division with San Sebastián's team, Real Sociedad (his position was midfielder; his brother José MarÃa also played, as a goalkeeper). But his career in sports ended in 1959, when he moved to Madrid to set up his own film production company. He produced some of the best-known Spanish films of the 1960s and 1970s and most notably worked with Carlos Saura (13 films), VÃctor Erice (2 films), Montxo Armendáriz (4 times) and Fernando León de Aranoa (3 films). Antonio Gades
Antonio Esteve Ródenas or Antonio Gades (14 November 1936 – 20 July 2004) was a Spanish flamenco dancer and choreographer. He helped to popularise the art form on the international stage. He was born in Elda, Alicante, and was the father of actress MarÃa Esteve and singer Celia Flores, his daughters with his ex-partner Marisol, herself a popular actress and singer. Career Flamenco Gades's most notable works included dance adaptations of Prosper Mérimée's ''Carmen'' and Federico GarcÃa Lorca's ''Blood Wedding'' (''Bodas de Sangre''), as well as a feature-length adaptation of Manuel de Falla's 23-minute ballet ''El amor brujo''. Daniel MartÃn (12 May 1935 – 28 September 2009) was a Spanish actor. He was known for his role as Rafael in the film ''Los Tarantos'' (1963), directed by Francisco Rovira Beleta and starring Antonio Gades and Carmen Amaya. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at 36th edition. He played Condor in the Spaghetti western film ''Blood River'' (1974), starring Fabio Testi, John Ireland and Rosalba Neri, and Julián in ''A Fistful of Dollars'' (1964). He died on 28 September 2009 in Nuévalos, Zaragoza from pancreatic cancer aged 74. Cristina Hoyos Panadero (born 13 June 1946) is a Spanish flamenco dancer, choreographer and actress, born in Seville, Spain. After a successful worldwide career, she opened her own dance company in 1988 that premiered at the Rex Theatre in Paris. She played an important role during the opening and closing ceremonies of the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. Career Hoyos started dancing at the age of twelve in the children's show ''Galas Juveniles''. Her teachers, Adelita Domingo and Enrique el Cojo, ignited her passion for dance. In 1969, she joined the ballet company of Antonio Gades where she continued her work for more than two decades. During this time, she toured the world demonstrating her art and starred in the film trilogy ''Blood Wedding'', '' Carmen'', and ''El amor brujo''.
