Østerbros Boldklub
Østerbros Boldklub (also known as ØB) was a Danish sports club based in the Østerbro area of Copenhagen, active from 1894 to 1998. The club is best known for its amateur football team. It was one of the oldest Danish football clubs, and played 10 seasons in the top-flight Danish football championship from 1928 to 1950. Fælledparken
The park Fælledparken in Copenhagen, Denmark, was created 1906–1914 by landscape architect Edvard Glæsel in cooperation with the Copenhagen Municipality on the commons (Danish: ''fælled'') previously named ''Nørrefælled'' and ''Østerfælled''. Fælledparken is located in the eastern part of Copenhagen called Østerbro. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. Danish 1st Division
The 1st Division (''1. Division'') is the second-highest football league in Denmark, also known as NordicBet Liga for sponsorship reasons. From 1945 to 1991 the 1. Division was the name of the highest level of football in Denmark. With the formation of the Danish Superliga, the 1st Division became the second tier of Danish football. While all the teams in the Superliga are full-time professional the 1. Division has a mixture of full-time professional and semi-professional teams. German Occupation Of Denmark
At the outset of World War II in September 1939, Denmark declared itself neutral. For most of the war, the country was a protectorate and then an occupied territory of Germany. The decision to occupy Denmark was taken in Berlin on 17 December 1939. On 9 April 1940, Germany occupied Denmark in Operation Weserübung. The Danish government and king functioned as relatively normal in a ''de facto'' protectorate over the country until 29 August 1943, when Germany placed Denmark under direct military occupation, which lasted until the Allied victory on 5 May 1945. The 2nd Division ( da, Danmarksturneringens 2. division or Herre-DM 2. division) is a semi-professional association football league for men and the third division in Denmark. It is organised by the Divisionsforeningen on behalf of the Danish Football Association (Danish FA; DBU) as part of the nation-wide Danmarksturneringen i fodbold (Herre-DM) and is positioned between the second-tier 1st Division and the fourth-tier Danish 3rd Division in the Danish football league system. Clubs in the league must meet certain criteria concerning appropriate facilities and finances. All of the 2nd Division clubs qualify for the proper rounds of the DBU Pokalen. Vejle Boldklub
Vejle Boldklub is a Danish professional football club based in Vejle in Jutland. Formed in 1891, the club is one of the most successful clubs in Danish football history, having won the Danish championship five times and the Danish cup title six times. VB is famous for being the only Danish club to develop a European Footballer of the Year winner in Allan Simonsen who won it in 1977. The 3rd Division ( da, Danmarksturneringens 3. division or Herre-DM 3. division) is the fourth tier of the Danish football league system since the 2021–22 season. It is a semi-professional association football league for men. Alliancen
Alliancen (Danish for ''the alliance'') is a Danish association football organisation founded in 1940 by Fremad Amager, HIK, KFUMs Boldklub, B 1908 and ØB. Køge, Brønshøj, Skovshoved IF, Vanløse, Næstved and Esbjerg all joined later. The organisation was originally created in order to let some of the most talented players compete against foreign players, either in Denmark or abroad. Most of the matches played by Alliancen were exhibition matches either against its Danish competitor Stævnet, or against foreign teams, sometimes displaying a common Stævnet/Alliancen team. Stævnet
Stævnet ( da, the event or ''the meeting'') or Copenhagen XI were a Danish association football representative team which had its prime before 1970, however it was active until 1994. Stævnet participated in the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup, the precursor of UEFA Cup, in 1955–58, 1958–60, 1961–62, 1962–63 and 1963–64. The Copenhagen XI only competed in the above mentioned editions of the Inter-Cities Fairs Cups. All other tournaments involving a Copenhagen team were contested by individual clubs from Copenhagen. Usually Stævnet would feature players from its member clubs exclusively, but players were often borrowed from other Danish clubs. Boldklubben 1903 or B 1903 is a association football, football club founded on 2 June 1903, located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Seven times winner of the Danish Superliga, Danish championship (introduced 1913) in Danish 1st Division 1919-20, 1920, Danish 1st Division 1923-24, 1924, Danish 1st Division 1925-26, 1926, Danish 1st Division 1937-38, 1938, Danish 1st Division 1969, 1969, Danish 1st Division 1970, 1970 and Danish 1st Division 1976, 1976 and twice winner of the Danish Cup (introduced 1955) in 1979 and 1986.
