Östergötland County (Riksdag Constituency)
Östergötland County ( sv, Östergötlands Län) is one of the 29 multi-member constituencies of the Riksdag, the national legislature of Sweden. The constituency was established in 1970 when the Riksdag changed from a bicameral legislature to a unicameral legislature. It is conterminous with the county of Östergötland. The constituency currently elects 14 of the 349 members of the Riksdag using the open party-list proportional representation electoral system. At the 2022 general election it had 356,210 registered electors. The Left Party ( sv, Vänsterpartiet ; V) is a socialist political party in Sweden. On economic issues, the party opposes privatizations and advocates increased public expenditure. In foreign policy, the party is Eurosceptic, being opposed to the European Union, NATO, and Swedish entry into the eurozone. John Weinerhall (born 19 April 1995) is a Swedish politician of the Moderate Party. He has been a member of the Riksdag since 2018. Sven-Olof Sällström
Sven-Olof Sällström (4 October 1968 – 14 March 2024) was a Swedish politician who was a member of the Riksdag for the Sweden Democrats between 2010 and 2024. Sällström originally worked as a store manager before his political career. He was a member of the Centre Party and the Liberals before joining the Sweden Democrats in 2006. He unsuccessfully stood for the party during the 2009 European Parliament elections before he was elected to the Riksdag during the 2010 Swedish general election. The Christian Democrats ( sv, Kristdemokraterna ; KD) is a Christian-democratic political party in Sweden founded in March 1964. The Moderate Party ( sv, Moderata samlingspartiet , ; M), commonly referred to as the Moderates ( ), is a liberal-conservative political party in Sweden. The party generally supports tax cuts, the free market, civil liberties and economic liberalism.
