Óbila CB
Óbila Club de Basket, also known as Ávila Auténtica Carrefour "El Bulevar" is a Spanish professional basketball team based in Ávila, Castilla y León and plays in the Multiusos Carlos Sastre, in LEB Plata. Óbila is the only basketball team in the city of Ávila. From 2011 to 2013, Óbila collaborated with Baloncesto Fuenlabrada as its farm team. History Óbila Club de Basket was born in Ávila in 2001. It was founded by a group of amateur players willing to enjoy basket in this city. In 2003 the club started playing at Liga EBA for the first time and finished in the 12th position. At the 2005–06 season the team finished in the third position and qualified for the promotion playoffs to the LEB 2 League but it was eliminated, as well as in the 2006–07 season, when it finished the regular season in the second position. Liga Española De Baloncesto
The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007. The league is contested by 18 clubs. Each season, the top-finishing team in the LEB Oro are automatically promoted to the Liga ACB. The teams that finish the season in 2nd to 9th place enter a playoff tournament, with the winner also gaining promotion to the Liga ACB. The three lowest-finishing teams in the LEB Oro are relegated to LEB Plata. A total of 78 teams have competed in LEB Oro since its inception in 1996. 19 teams have been crowned champions and 30 teams have gained promotion to Liga ACB, of which only five teams could not play in Liga ACB. Brandon Sebirumbi (born May 15, 1990) is a Ugandan-American professional basketball player who formerly played for Aomori Wat's of the B.League in Japan. Collegiate career Sebirumbi played college basketball with the Furman Paladins. He averaged 5.3 points and 2.8 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Professional career On September 6, 2013, Sebirumbi signed with Planasa Navarra of the LEB Oro in Spain. Robinson Odoch Opong (born 10 May 1989) is a Ugandan professional basketball player who last played for Rivers Hoopers of the Nigerian Premier League (NPL) and the Basketball Africa League (BAL). He also plays for the Uganda national basketball team. Career On 11 April 2020, Opong signed with the Saskatchewan Rattlers of the Canadian CEBL. In April 2021, Opong signed with Rivers Hoopers to play in the 2021 BAL season. He replaced the injured Festus Ezeli.
