Éric Mouquet
Éric Mouquet (born 19 March 1960 in Valenciennes, France), is the co-founder of the band Deep Forest. He won a Grammy Award in 1995, and a World Award for best world music album. Valenciennes (, also , , ; nl, label=also Dutch, Valencijn; pcd, Valincyinnes or ; la, Valentianae) is a commune in the Nord department, Hauts-de-France, France. It lies on the Scheldt () river. The Eastern Fare Music Foundation is a music school, as well as a production and publishing house in Guwahati, Assam, India. The institute provides training for instrumental music in Western Classical music, Carnatic music and contemporary style. It was first founded in Bangalore in 2007. Sa Dingding (, born Zhou Peng () on 27 December 1979) is a Chinese folk singer and songwriter. She is of mixed Han Chinese and Mongol ancestry, and sings in languages including Mandarin Chinese, English, Standard Tibetan, as well as an imaginary self-created language to evoke emotions in her songs. Chitose Hajime
is a Japanese singer from Amami ÅŒshima. She sings in the shima-uta style particular to that region, with distinctive falsetto effects. History Early life Chitose Hajime began learning shamisen under her mother's encouragement from a young age. At age 10 she began to pick up ''shima-uta'', a style of singing passed down through generations. She won many folk and other song competitions during her teens, traveling to events across Japan. She released two traditional folk albums on cassette on an indie label, the first at age 16, and at age 17 was approached by numerous record labels following a grand prize win at a local folk song contest. Stating in a later interview that she was "suspicious of them", she decided not to join the labels or pursue music, and instead chose to study to become a beautician, following in the footsteps of her older sister. Ana Torroja
Ana Torroja Fungairiño (born 28 December 1959 in Madrid), 3rd marchioness of Torroja, is a Spanish singer. She was the lead singer of the pop trio Mecano, considered one of the most popular pop bands from Spain during the 1980s and 1990s. Mecano split in 1998 and she embarked on a solo career. Biography Formally styled Marquesa de Torroja, she succeeded to the title upon her father's death in 2021. Ana Torroja met José MarÃa Cano while studying economics at university. The two became good friends, and José MarÃa soon introduced her to his younger brother, Nacho. After hearing Ana sing José MarÃa's guitar compositions, Nacho suggested that the three form a band. Michel Sanchez (born 1 July 1957 in Somain, France) is a French musician. He spent much of this youth studying music (piano, classical organ percussion). Sanchez is the co-founder of the band Deep Forest along with Éric Mouquet. He won a Grammy Award in 1995, and a World Award for best world music album.
